This slots strategy is called "the umbrella", due to
the fact that the bets always start small, work up to
a long run at maximum coins, and then work back down to
smaller ones. Its another pattern
style strategy but it does interest both the small
bettor and the aggressive player because you can adjust
how much you play at each level. Remember that the absolute
maximum amount you can bet at any level is 5 coins. Here
are some series examples:
- 1-1-3-3-5-5-4-4-4-2-2
- 1-1-1-4-4-5-5-5-3-3-2-2-2
- 1-1-4-4-5-5-5-3-3-2-2
- 1-1-1-1-3-3-3-5-5-5-4-4-4-2-2-2-2
- 1-4-4-5-5-5-3-3-2
- 1-1-3-3-5-5-5-4-4-2-2
As you can see the bets start small, work up to the max
of 5 coins, stay there for a few pulls, and then start
back down to the 2 coin pull. Look at those examples again.
You can also employ patterns whereby you use the same
strategy of getting to the max and then repeating the
same pattern back down to the minimum play. Example:
- 1-2-3-4-5-5-5-4-3-2-1
- 1-1-3-3-5-5-3-3-1-1
- 1-1-2-2-3-3-4-5-4-3-3-2-2-1-1
- 1-1-3-3-5-5-5-3-3-1-1
- 1-1-2-4-5-5-4-2-1-1
- 1-1-1-3-4-5-5-5-4-3-1-1-1
Notice that every series starts small and after reaching
the max amount comes right down to the first bet with
equal play amounts on either side of the maximum bet.
None of the series stayed at the 5-coin play for long,
so heres some more:
- 1-1-2-3-4-5-5-5-5-5-4-3-2-1-1
- 1-2-2-3-4-4-5-5-5-5-3-2-2-1
- 1-1-3-4-5-5-5-5-4-3-1-1
- 1-1-2-3-4-4-5-5-5-5-4-4-3-2-1-1
This is not a bad approach because it works up to the
max bet and stays there for several pulls. The drawback
is that you keep going up with your bets, regardless of
the results of the previous pull. For instance, look at
the second line in the last set of examples. After four
pulls you're in the max betting 5 coins for four straight
pulls.
You have your loss
limits and naked
pulls to protect you, but the fact that you're betting
5 coins after perhaps four or five losses can be expensive.
Try this method with a series that starts off with a string
of 1 coin bets and goes up slowly. The series could be
long, but it cuts losses. Example:
- 1-1-1-1-2-2-3-5-5-5-3-2-1-1-1-1
You can start with a series like this one, or an even
more conservative approach if that is your choice.
