This is a nice easy strategy to grasp, because the approach
is just like you would be going up a ladder, one step
at a time.
The difference from the "up
the steps" strategy, is except that the ladder method
does not give you the opportunity of staying at a particular
level for periods of time. The ladder strategy always
goes up or down by ones and never repeats at any level.
But since the basic purpose of the ladder is to go up
or down, use the strategy to keep your bets moving up
and down. You go "up" the ladder as you win, you go "down"
the ladder as you lose.
Your bets are all tied into series and there will be
many series at each session. Naturally the obligatory
naked
pulls and loss
limits apply.
The series always starts in the middle of the maximum
coins required. Since you're at a 5 coin machine, your
series starts with 3 coins. This way you have the chance
to go up if a win occurs and down if a loss is the result.
Your first bet is 3 coins. If you lose, you play 2. If
you win, you go back to 3, lose again, go to 2, lose,
go to 1. If you win again go to 2. Again if you lose,
you must bet 1. Notice you're reducing your bets after
a loss, increasing after a win. When you drop to 1 coin
and lose three times in a row, that series is over and
you start again with 3 coins. By the same token, a few
consecutive winning pulls will get you to 5 coins, which
would be the maximum. If you bet the 5 coins and win,
bet 5 again, win again, bet 5 again, then if a few losses
occur and you're down to 1 again. Three loses at 1, and
that series is over.
A new series has begun and you follow the same pattern.
The series tend to be quick with the ladder strategy,
but the purpose is a controlled way of playing and trying
to get you into the habit of winning small amounts consistently.
If you're at a cold machine, the guidelines of loss limits
will hold those losses way down. just keep a close watch
on your session amount and don't exceed the loss limits.
