We first looked at this strategy in the
3-coin machines Up The Steps strategy. Moving to 5-coin
machines opens up alot of variations of bets.
we said that the "up the steps" strategy is the best
every day strategy. Lets remind you of two best things
about this strategy:
- Bet small when losing.
- Increase bets when winning.
Here are some ideas you can use at a 5-coin machine.
Never bet 1 coin at a 5 coin machine. Two is the minimum,
3 is usual, 4 is never, bet 5 max when you hit at 3.
After regressing to 2 coin play, stay there, as long
as no return shows.
The first three bets are 3 coins each, based on the
fact that if a machine is hot, you start off with a nice
winning run.
If you don't hit in the first three plays, revert to
a 2 coin bet.
When a win shows at a 2 coin bet, immediately go to
3 coin bet.
If you win at 3, go to 5. If loss occurred at 3, drop
back to 2.
When you get to 5 coin play, stay there for only one
play, and win or lose, go back to 3 coin play.
If you win at 3 after dropping back from level five,
again go back to 5.
A loss at 3 coins means you should go back to 2.
The concept lies with the fact that the key number is
right in the middle level three. Start there and use the
flow at that slot game to either drop to 2 coins or raise
to 5.
If you like with the strategy then good - however if
you'd like to change some things, here are some more suggestions:
When you bet 3 coins and win, you should go to 5 coins,
but ... If you push at 3 coins, get your money back with
one pair, and stay at 3 coins but . .
If you are at 2 coins and push, get you money back with
one pair, do go to 3 coins.
Notice the buts? A 2 coin push does not call for a jump
to 5. Don't bet 1 coin on 5 coin machines because of minimal
return, so that level is out. However, if you have a session
amount of only $10, then, by all means, use that level.
Also never bet 4, but go right from 3 to 5 coins. Again,
your session money dictates whether you should do the
same or take a more conservative series approach.
