Sweden

South America

Eastern Europe

Most of Asia

New Zealand

Mexico

Most of Latin America

Most of the Caribbean

South Africa

Some African countries

Canada - Online gambling is some what of a gray area in Canada, although it is not classed as illegal it is not expressly stated to be legal either. As far as we are aware no one has ever got into any legal trouble as a result of playing at an online casino whilst in Canada.

Areas where online gambling has been deemed illegal

USA - Unfortunately for the American Public Online Gambling is Prohibited by two acts, first there was the The Interstate Wire Act of 1961, also known as the Federal Wire Act. The law has been interpreted by some, including the Department of Justice, to mean that all online gambling is illegal. However, U.S. Courts have ruled to the contrary. Also, many believe the phrase "in the business of" means only businesses are affected. Some argue that the law only covers sports betting, and not other forms of gambling such as poker, slots or other casino games.

However in 2006 the Unlawful Internet Gambling act was passed and signed by President Bush. The act is designed to prevent the use of certain payment methods such as credit cards, and fund transfers for Internet gambling.

Hong Kong - Online gambling was made illegal in Hong Kong on 31st May 2002.
