We really want to build a busty online slots players community so we are running our first Slots Jam Players Club Competition.

I have given a basic over view of how the competition works in a post in the competition and challenges section of the forum and have also made a Slots Forum Competition page which has the full details.

Onlt Slots Jam Players Club members can enter, but that means anyone who is a forum member can join (remember joining the Slots Jam Forum automatically makes you a Slots Jam Players Club member

The win $100 Posting competition will run until 31st January 2007 and the winner will recieve $100 deposited into a SuperSlots Casino account for them.

Everyone who posts over 10 eligable posts will be entered in to our prize draw. See Full terms page for all the details.

In just 2 days time (on 10th January 2007) we will be at the half way point of our little competition and so far no one has posted enough posts since 22nd December 2006 to even qualify for entry into the $100 Prize Draw.

I never thought it would be so hard to give money away!

Come on Slots Jammers don't let me down, please all get posting because if only one person makes those magic 10 posts then that 1 person is dead certain to win.

Great idea with the giveaway. I thought this was a great forum when I first discovered it (still do!), one dedicated to my favourite casino game slots!

I recommended a couple of friends to your slots club, but I don't think they have posted in the forum although I know they check up on latest slots tournies as in the past we have tried to out perform each other and they had to remind me to play one.

I think it takes time to build a forum, especially a niche one like this.

But definetly keep trying to get more people posting, how about bigger prize money??
I wouldn't mind another shot at winning

I am pleased you like the idea of this comp and THANKS for telling your friends about us, if every member did that we would be very popular indeed.

When this competition finishes we do have other ideas for more, although we are welcome to any ideas anyone has on what competitions would be most likley to get players joining up and posting in the forum.

I think that for a long time people have the lurk syndrome. I did too - we tend to lurk around for quite a while before actually joining a forum. After I found myself coming here day after day to see if anything new and exciting was about, i finally decided to join.

It's clear that you do have lurkers so it's only a matter of time before some more of them join.

It's also one of those "first one on the dancefloor" things -- once a dancefloor/forum is already really jumping, more new people jump in. I know it's a bit of a catch-22 but it will pick up.

I think you are 100% correct, people have to feel safe enough to join and confident enough to post.

I am hoping this little forum promo will bring more people out to play so to speak, we are of course open to any suggestions of better ways we could help people make that transition from just watching (or lurking as you called it ) to actually posting and becoming part of an online slots players community.

One thing you can do, to help people speak more effectively in this forum is to make it a goal. Then, when possible, you can brainstorm new ideas that will help achieve it. Things to consider: God, love, patience, prizes.
