I play games with big jackpots, especially the progressive jackpots. If a jackpot is well over its average payout or at an all time high I'll make sure I play a few spins everyday (or at least those days I play), even if its just a few spins.

It sounds like a fairly sound strategy to me, after all it makes sense that the progressive jackpots are going to blow at a similar point so if they have pasted the previous large win amount your odds are definatly going to be increased.
