|
|
Some online slot games offer a huge betting range, especially the ones that start from as little as 0.01 per coin.
Add in the fact on some you can bet 1 coin per line or maybe up to 10 coins per line. Then add in the fact theres commonly 10 - 20 paylines on a multi-line slot, especially the latest new ones.
So my simple strategy is to start very low and if I lose, then I double up.
I tend to start this strategy if I've gone a fair few spins with no return.
Sure this is a common casino strategy. If you do it for a game like Roulette it would be called the Martingale strategy. However in game like Roulette your betting range is very limited and you can only double up a set number of times. So if you hit a bad run you bust out. Plus if your betting on red or black then its nearly even odds, obviously not the case with a slots game.
However with slots you can start really low, from as little as 1 cent a spin. You can then double up by either increasing the betting stake, number of paylines or number of coins per payline or a combination So the range is huge. This betting range is the key factor!
I'm not recommending anyone do this, but I think its fun to do once in a while. Its so obviously different from a game like roulette where you either win or lose each round. On some spins you won't lose all your stake you might lose half. Also you won't always win double your stake, sometimes you'll be 10% better off depending what winning payouts you hit.
Ok, this strategy my have flaws, but hey the Martingale strategy is well known and not exactly a proven winner.
I think its fun if you set yourself a limit to what you would double up to per spin and see how many spins you get out of it. It really adds to the game if you think your going on a a few spins without any return and you have to double up again.
Ok, now its late and I've had a couple of beers , so feel free to tell me where my strategy is flawed, or for the fun of it how it could be varied or improved.

Yes the Martingale system could be appiled to slots and I believe the doubling up that you are referring to is still known as the Martingale system regardless of what game it is applied to although he (as far as I know) did invent it for the roulette table.
A Similar and interesting strategy or system is the Labouchere system which is slightly more complex than the Martingale system but involves choosing a certain string of numbers (which number sequence apparantly depends on which game is is to be applied to, but I am not an expert on the system so I dont know whats best for what).
But for example you may choose the string of numbers 5273181
Your first bet would be to the value of the two outside numbers so in this case 5+1 so you would bet 6
If you won you would cross them off the end so your string would now look like this 27318 and you would then bet 2+8 so you would bet 10 If you won again you would again cross out the outside two figures and you continue doing this until you have completed a coup .
Now if you lose you add the number to the end of the line. For example if you start with the same line as before 5273181so you bet 6 (which is 5+1) and lose you then add the 6 to the end of the line so your new line looks like this 52731816 so your next bet would be 11 (5+6). And so on.
I believe the Labouchere system is allso known as the Cancellation system.
Anyway that just seemed like somthing that may interest you |

| A good strategy to follow is whatever you do, do it for less than 5 minutes and cash out. The more you play the greater your chances of losing! The odds are in favour of the house and to beat them, it takes luck in the beginning. If you want to have fun gambling more than 5 minutes, play with no deposit offers - there is no risk. |
