The Third year of Slots Jam
It is said that life moves so fast online that a business cycle is completed every 3 months (compared to every year in the offline world). With that in mind we thought we would give you a free trip down memory lane to see just how much has happened in the life of Slots Jam in just its first year.
Below you can see a month by month account of the growth of this site, all in reverse chronological order with high lights outlined. What will the next year bring.
April 2008
Easter fell in April, so we saw two great Easter slots released, one by Microgaming (who released a total of 4 new slots that we reviewed) and one by Rival, these were also added to our Easter Slots page.
To top it all off we also announced the addition of Jackpotjoy casino and Gamesys slots reviews to our site.
March 2009
March saw the release of 4 new Microgaming slots which were reviewed on Slotsjam.
There was also a fab March Madness tournament at SuperSlots, English Harbour or Millionaire Casino.
We also updated the site with an Easter theme and added new slots to our Easter Slots page. We gave the site an Easter makeover including a cute Easter themed logo and button.
To top it all off we also announced the addition of Jackpotjoy casino and Gamesys slots reviews to our site.
We also announced the winners for 2008 Slots Awards.
February 2009
Despite being rushed off our feet over Christmas and New Year, the pace didn't let up in February 2009!
We were still collecting votes for the Slotsjam Awards 2008, meanwhile Sloto Cash had their own Oscars ceremony.
Best of all was the new Top Game software section that was added to the site. We also reviewed 7Spins casino.
New Microgaming slots reviews were also added to Slotsjam.
Then of course was our Valentines day site update, where Slotsjam got a romantic style makeover.
January 2009
We opened the voting for the 2008 Slots Awards and asked Slotsjam visitors to cast their votes for their favourite casinos and slots games of 2008.
We added new reviews from Real Time Gaming and we also reviewed One Million Reels BC slots game, the third progressive slots game from Rival.
Slotsgirl wrote an article about 7 reel slots for the site.
However, the highlight of the month was the fabulous New Year re-vamp of the site including a great New Year Slots Jam logo.
December 2008
As always, December was a busy month for us here at Slots Jam.
We reviewed slots from Vegas Technology and 4 new MicroGaming slots including the worlds first customizable slot My Slot.
SlotoCash ran an amazing Christmas promotion to win one of Santa's sacks full of goodies and InterCasino had a fab Christmas Party.
There was general festive merriment during the last days of 2008.
November 2008
By November we were looking forward to the festive season ahead. Not only did we add new slots reviews for Rival slot Pigskin Payout. But we also saw gave blog readers a teaser, previewing some great new MicroGaming December releases
The site got a Christmas makeover this month, with a great new Christmas logo.
We also updated the Christmas Slots page with reviews for Winter Wonders, Frozen Assets and Winter Wonderland.
October 2008
October is always a busy month her at Slotsjam HQ as we update the site with a spooky Halloween theme.
The Halloween Slots page was updated with Trick or Treat, Warlock's Spell, Phantom of the Opera and Scary Rich slots reviews. The whole site received a Halloween makeover and some excellent new Halloween themed banners were added too.
We also reviewed a new Vegas Technology slot called 'The Right Prize', a kind of spin-off from the popular TV show The Prize is Right.
We also saw Halloween bonuses from Slotland Casino and a Halloween Slots Tournament at SuperSlots.
September 2008
September was an exceptionally busy month for new slot reviews and we saw four new releases from Vegas Technology, new Rival slots (yet another one of their great iSlots Baby Boomers Cash Cruise and the extremely popular progressive slot game Major Moolah) and Microgaming.
Best of all was meeting Chun Li at Partnerlogic.
August 2008
Real Time Gaming released 5 new slots which were reviewed on Slotsjam. We also saw a new Rival release and two new Microgaming reviews were added to the site. Despite technical difficulties and the forum being down for a while, it was a good month.
July 2008
There were some great new slots reviews added to Slots Jam in July. A great new Cryptologic slot was released, another in their Marvel Slots series.
We also added some great new slot releases from Rival and Microgaming. We also reviewed the hilarious film Hancock on our Slotsjam Blog.
June 2008
June proved to be an exciting month with a new Rival powered casino reviewed on our site. Lion Slots was launced 20th June 2008 and had good feedback from players so far.
Another new Rival iSlot Cosmic Quest: Mission Control was reviewed on Slotsjam, so quite a good month for Rival all in all.
We also saw new slots reviews added for Microgaming slots and a fab new SLOTLAND online slot based on the popular computer game Tetris; called Slotris.
May 2008
In the month of May Jackpot City Casino got a complete facelift and re-vamped their image entirely. Part of their new look were some totally bizarre banners!
We also reviewed six new Real Time Gaming powered slots, the extremely popular game King Tut's Treasure, now known as Boy Kings Treasure being among them.
Myself and Lara also went to see The Merry Widow Opera at the London Coliseum run by The English National Opera.
Finally the first Microgaming 100 payline slot Cashapillar slots was released.
April 2008
April saw the release of another one of Rivals extremely popular iSlots. As the Reels Turn 3 was the last in this popular trilogy.
I went on a great break to Crete with Lara and the family. We even managed to visit a Venetian castle.
