If you have not looked at Jackpot City Casino for a while you will not have seen their new website make over, now I have to confess, as a slots player, I used to really like the flashing sky search lights, tall towers and general Las Vegas look and feel of the 'old' Jackpot City website. All of that said the new site is slick and does conform to a more modern professional look. Although I personally do wish they would have kept the old vegas style brightly colours logo, instead of changing it for again a much simpler (and admittedly nice looking) new one, that to me just looks like a little purple play button with words.

Another thing I find really annoying about the website is that it geo targets, what this means for any of you who may not heard of the term 'geo target' is that the site looks at your ip address to try to figure out where you are and then gives you a landing page which is in a currency and language which is relevant to that location. This may sound clever and indeed is, however I can inform you it does not work. It does not work for a very simple reason, ip address locations are not an exact science, I am in the UK (about 70 miles north of London) and yet when ever I visit this 'clever' geo targeting website, I get given offer in Euro's. Now as a Brit I don't have any Euro's, I buy things in Pounds and when I gamble online I tend to do that in Dollars and I like to be able to look at all the offers so I can take up the best one (some times casinos will give a better offer to people joining via their US sites and other times via their European or British sites). So this cyber second guessing does annoy me, in fact I would go as far as to say it is my pet hate. Please do not misunderstand me, I can see the benefits and in 'theory' geo targetting should be great for any site, but in practice it annoys more people than it helps (in my humble opinion) so if you ever go abroad and visit a site that would normally be in english and suddenly find it is not, you will have just fallen victim to geo targeting at work, any webmasters reading this, please please do yourself and your sites visitors a favour and put flags on the site so people can choose what they want to see and never ever have a script guess where they are from and what they want.

Ok so enough moaning, the casino is however great, clear and easy to understand and they still have all the same games, plus all the latest additions (yes that includes the very latest Tomb Raider Secrets of the Sword Slots Game and Hitman).

I see they also have a banner / promo thingy on their site in the bottom right hand corner of the page which has Lara Croft shooting and says, 'Join our Treasure Trail' It then goes on to say 'New Feature Slot' and finally 'Tomb Raider Secrets of the Sword'. Now the new game parts makes perfect sense to me, a great game, probably the best game of the year (although I will reserve judgment until the year is out). But it is the words 'Join our Treasure Trail' that intrigued me, I click on the flashy area and seem to land right back at the same page only a little grey box pops up wanting me to installed the casino. There is a banner I found which matches the promo area I put below click on it to visit Jackpot City's website.

So I installed the casino and had a look around, the casino lobby is a very nice take on the standard Microgaming look and I like the purple and white, with clean lines. But I could not for the life of me see anything else about this 'Treasure Trail'. So now I am on the trail, I want to know what the tease is about, me being me I know all the right kind of people, so I am going to find out and then I will post in hear and let you all know. If any of you figure out what it is before I do please do let me know.

Back on the 20th February I told you about the New Tomb Raider Slots Game and put up a preview movie of the game which was released on 11th March 2008. Now our full review of Tomb Raider Secret of the Sword is live on the site. As I have mentioned previously the game is the follow up of the first Tomb Raider Slots Game and as usual we have given information about all of the games features as well as creating moving screen shots so you can get a good feel of what the game is like without ever having to download and play it. The is available at most Microgaming powered Casinos including Royal Vegas which will no doubt feature the game in online slots tournaments and also at the Lucky Nugget Casino who made the banner shown below. We have also added out full review of brand new Gypsy Queen slots game, which is also available at those casinos.

Last week I told you guys about the next Big slots game due for released on 11th March 2008. Tomb Raider Secret of the Sword the follow up of the first Tomb Raider Slots Game and I made a moving image of the sneak preview images I was privy to, today we can go one step further. Thanks to my friends over at the Fortune Lounge Group of casinos, they have got me a great movie aimed at promoting the release of what looks like it will be one of the most popular new slots games of 2008 at Platinum Play Casino (which is the casino we recommend as Best for Beginners). This game will also be available at other Microgaming powered Casinos including Royal Vegas which is one of my personal favourites due to the style, tournaments and player support.

I have today found out that there is going to be a New Tomb Raider Slots Game, called Tomb Raider – Secret of the Sword. The Game has 30 Paylines, Free Spins, 'Rolling Reels' and an off screen bonus game feature, Plus a 'Super Mode'. The new tomb Raider game will be available at popular Microgaming powered casinos such as Platinum Play Casino and Royal Vegas Casino from 11th March 2008 and we will of course be carrying out a full review which we will have live shortly afterwards.

I have got some screen shots as a sneak preview which I have made into a moving image and pasted below, but you will have to wait until the game is released to play the game. If the popularity of the existing Tomb Raider Slots Game is anything to go by this new game will be a big hit and looking at the information I have been sent I think it will be very popular indeed!
