Wii Boxing update 2
Ok I know none of you are interested in this at all but I have to tell someone and Lara is so unimpressed, but my new wii boxing rank is over 1700! In the world of Wii boxing my little Mii is like Mike Tyson baby!
I thought I should really have a look for a boxing themed slots game and you know what I have only managed to find one. It is good old Fruit Machine game and is called Fruit Fight.

Informative Fruit Machine Website
Any of you who read the recent article I wrote about Fruit Machines will know that I know the difference between a fruit machine and a slot machine. I was starting to feel like I was the only person who did, until just today I came accross this neat little fruit machine site, not only does it have an article explaining the difference between a fruit machine and a slot machine but it also has a whole section with a page about each of the main features of a fruit machine, my personal favourite is the flashing board they have added on their bonus trail page. I would say that the site is ideal for anyone who really wants to find out what makes a fruit machine a fruit machine, they have put everything in really easy to understand language and have covered all the key features.
They have also done reviews of a number of land based fruit machines and here is where I learned something new. Did you know there are 8 different versions of the Deal Or No Deal Fruit Machine? I didn't know that.
If you are into fruit machines then check out this neat little site and please also take a look at the reviews of online fruit machines that we have done right here on Slots Jam.

Happy Saint Patricks Day
So today is the day of the patron saint of Ireland, and everyone know the Irish are a lucky lot. So why not try your luck on an Irish themed slots game such as Luck o the Irish or the Treasure Ireland Fruit Machine. Or check out the Just for fun section of our Slots forum where you can find a number of Irish jokes including this story about Irish Luck and the one about the Irish Alzheimer.
So go drink Guiness, count four leaf clovers and look out for Leprecauns and Top O the Morning to you all.

Lock Down Bands Gig at Tawny Owl in Milton Keynes
Our gig went really well last night, we all had a great time and everyone who came along seemed to have enjoyed themselves. People said some really nice things, and the land lord has promised to have us back again, although he said they are booked up for bands all this year so we wont be playing there again until next year now, unless another band lets him down (then we are on his back up list).

The photograph above was taken at the Gig, and shows Me (Andy) on bass guitar, Robin singing (holding the red guitar) and Steve (far right) on lead guitar, plus Mark on Drums. Yes that is a Fruit Machine that you can see just behind Robins head in the centre of the picture.
As you can see from the short clip below (filmed on a normal camera hence the low quality) we even had people dancing!

Lock Down Bands first live performance!
From time to time, I make a post which has nothing to do with slots and nothing to do with the time of year or any regular theme. Well today is one such day! Last night My band played at a Band Jam at the Grand Junction Pub in Buckingham, the house band was Spaced out so we played through their PA and amps but used our own guitars (and in my case Bass guitar). This was the first time my band had played in public, we are called Lock Down and are a four piece Indie / Rock band playing covers from the likes of Oasis and Blur through to classics such as 'Alright now' by Free. Three of the bands members (myself, Mark on Drums and Robin who sings and plays guitar) where in a band called Face to Face many years ago, so when Mark called me mid 2007 and asked if I would like to join a new band I jumped at the chance. The only person in the band I had not met before it formed was Steve who plays lead guitar and is really easy to get along with.
The reason for attending the band jam was to get a little bit of extra practice in before our first 'proper gig' which if you are interested in coming along is tomorrow night at the Tawny Owl Pub in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes (which for all of my non UK readers, that is in England about 70 miles North of London). So without further adue here are a couple of photos taken at the very first live appearance of the Lock Down Band!

In this photo my wife (Lara who took the photo) said it looked like I was 'in the zone' I can tell you all right now with some level of certainty that was not the case, my eyes are closed simply because there where spot lights shinning on the 'stage area' and they where blinding me so I just shut my eyes rather than keep squinting. This photo shows, Robin (in the middle with the red 335 style Guitar), Mark on Drums and me Andy with my favourite silver bass guitar.

This photo shows the whole band including Steve who looks like he is mid solo, I would guess this picture was taken whilst we played alright now, shame Marks face is lost behind a cymbal.
Hmm now I come to think of it I did notice that the old Granary (the part of the Grand Junction we were playing in) had a fruit machine, and it was the Coronation Street fruit machine at that. There you go I said something about slots. Have a great weekend and I will probably post some more action pictures from our gig tomorrow night.

New Fruit Machines Article Added!
Whilst talking with some friends I noticed there is alot of confusion to exactly what makes a Fruit Machine a Fruit Machine and not a Slot Machine. Now me being me I know the difference, so I thought I would construct an article on Fruit Machines to give those less familiar with the finer points an insite. The article not only goes through what it takes for a game to be classed as a fruit machine but also, gives you a brief history of fruit machines as well as recommending some of the best online fruit machine games.
If you are lazy and dont want to read the full article but would like to know exactly what makes a fruit machine a fruit machine here is the short version. A Fruit Machine is a type of slot machine (so note, not all slot machines are fruit machines). A Fruit machine always has certain features, these are a hold feature, a nudge feature a cash ladder and a bonus trail (also known as a bonus board). A Fruit machine may have other features too, but those are the ones that it must have to be classed as a fruit machine, notice they are skill based features, for full information on each feature see the article.
Ok guys have a great weekend.
