Happy Bonfire Night

Today there are two reasons to celebrate, first off is the fact that it is November 5th, Guy Fawkes Night, and second is the fact that one of our very own Slotsjam visitors has won big at BODOG casino. Crystal Waters of California has won $5,401, so Crystal, congratulations, these fireworks are for you!

Any UK people will surely recognise this well known Guy Fawkes Night rhyme:

"Remember, remember,

the fifth of November,

Gunpowder, treason and plot.

We see no reason why

Gunpowder treason

Should ever be forgot!"

For any readers outside the UK who are not familiar with the origins of this night of festivities and explosives I shall briefly explain. In November 1605 a gunpowder plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament and King James I on the day he was to open Parliament. The perpetrators were a group of Catholics who were upset by the rather shabby treatment they had suffered at the hands of the King and Government, the main character in this story being Guy Fawkes.

Every year effigies of this man are burned all over the British Isles in people back gardens and lager public displays, fireworks are let off and us Brits gather round to watch the displays with our baked potatoes and other goodies! Also, a quick fact for the day; did you know that it is the 40th birthday today of the popular childrens television program Sesame Street.

For all of you who want a piece of the action at BODOG casino, you may also be interested to know that players receive a 10% up to $1000 when they sign up for a real money account at BODOG in addition to other player benefits. Click here to visit Bodog Casino

Major Moolah!

I found out today that a very lucky lady called Betty O, won the progressive jackpot on Major Moolah slots, Major Moolah indeed. She won $22,572.40, which is an insane amount of money to win on an online slot. Major Moolah has been reviewed on Slotsjam, and this progressive game is very popular indeed. Being a classic slot, it is easy to play, the paytable is clear and easy to understand. Although there are no multiplier symbols, this is, however a 3 coin slot. In order to win the progressive jackpot on this game, you must bet with all 3 coins, so as you can see, that 3rd coin is well worth it!

This lucky lady won the progressive at SlotoCash casino; I would advise holding fire if you are now considering having a bash at this slot for the time being, and why?
