The winner of the Best Slots Software Award 2006 is Cryptologic.

In 2006 Cryptologic released more of their Marvel Slots Games and then in November they released a whole new batch of games including some adult themed slots such as Thunder from Down Under and Mystique. Included in that new batch of games were a whole new range they call Frightmare Slots Games and all we can say about those is that the graphics, animations and sound effects are simply breathe taking.

There was alot of stiff competition in 2006 with a number of the top software providers really bringing out some great slots of a very high quality. Microgaming had a number of very good (and some award winning offerings) however the lack of a tournament facility held them back.

Vegas Technology also deserve an honourable mention (they do have a fantastic slots tournament facility) and also released a number of great slots games in 2006 including the award winning Real Deal Bonus Slot.

Unfortunatly for Cryptologic the change in US gambling regulation in September 2006 caused its share holders to put pressure on it to stop allowing its casino clients (such as Intercasino) from accepting US Players.
